Full Description

The DP-850 is the first comprehensive “end-to-end” phantom that evaluates the entire radiotherapy treatment process. The DP-850 is designed to fully comply with AAPM TG-66 requirements for CT simulators as well as key components of AAPM TG-53 for treatment planning system quality assurance.

The DP-850 is constructed of a solid material with a density value of 0.85 g/cm3 (relative to water) as the background material. It consists of 4 primary modules that are assembled using rods, of a density similar to trabecular bone, around the periphery. Various internal structures and test objects as well as external engravings and fiducials are utilized for integrated testing.

In 2018, the DP-850 was redesigned as the DP-1000 with even more features and water-equivalent background material.
